ATCM Youth Group
Mission Statement: To bring youth to the cross with the goals of seeing youth get saved, grow in Christ, and minister to other youth.

Regular Meeting times:
SOS = School on Sunday -- Sunday School just got dangerous
10:05-11:05 am in the Youth House

SNY = Sunday Night Youth = Son-thing A Little Different
4:30-5 pm activity time & 5-6 pm lesson time in the Youth House

Christian Education Commission
Purpose: Lead all people to a personal salvation with Christ and to contribute to the spiritual development of believers through Sunday School- bible & classroom study, children’s programs, and other opportunities.

Roles:
· Sunday School – all ages
· Nursery – Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday night
· Wednesday night Kid’s Club
· Vacation Bible School
· Beginners Church (ages 4-kindergarten)
· Junior Church (1st grade - 5th grade)

Service/Volunteer Opportunities:
· Nursery coordinator
· Substitute Sunday School teachers
· Teachers for beginners and junior church
· Committee members
· Vacation bible school helpers
· Children’s Christmas Musical

Friends Family Theater
Outreach Ministry providing a safe and healthy environment for families where they can see "Family" movies on Friday evenings free of charge in our Youth House in the Spring, Fall and Winter and as a Drive-In experience, on our softball field, in the Summer.

Outreach Commission
Purpose: Plan, motivate, and delegate the church’s involvement in making the Gospel of Jesus Christ known to our surrounding community. In addition, the commission will help maintain current as well as promote new relational bonds within the church family.

Roles:
- External events in our community
- Bring the message of Christ to community events, i.e. 4th of July parade, etc
- Communicate our church presence and its’ programs to targeted neighborhoods, i.e. passing out popcorn for summer movie nights, etc.
- Internal Events on Church Grounds
- Sponsor fun-filled fellowship activities that express the love and forgiveness of Jesus
- Facilitate a process in which newcomers become connected to the church, i.e. letters, phone calls, visitations, etc.
- Promote personal relationships within our church body, i.e. brunches, etc.
- Men’s Group – [Men in Missions]; Eastern region retreat 1st weekend every May in W. Va, local church retreat in fall
- Women’s Group – [Women’s Missionary Fellowship Group]; Eastern region retreat every Sept in W. Va.; local church retreat every winter
- Quaker Cupboard – meets the physical and spiritual needs of those in the community who are in need of assistance. It is held every third Thursday of the month from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Service/Volunteer Opportunities:
· Help with on-going communication, i.e. phone calls, greeters, letters, e-mail, etc
· Committee members
· Passing out flyers, putting up posters, making signs, etc.
· Help with special events, i.e. brunches, outdoor movies, parades, banquets, etc. – includes set up, clean up, baking, making popcorn, etc.

Spritual Life Commission
Purpose: Develop and foster an environment that assists families and individuals in the church and the community to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Roles:
· Maintain relationships between the church body and the pastors
· Provide an environment for the spiritual healing in the body of Christ
· Organizing and developing the various weekly worship services
· Develop small groups to encourage spiritual growth and healing in the body of Christ
· Encouraging, facilitating, and maintaining church membership
· Organizing special services to facilitate spiritual renewal and growth

· Instrumental – piano, organ, praise team
· Special music – singing, instrumental
· Readers
· Drama participants
· Office staff (Mon-Fri 9 am-noon) [answering phones, bulletin and announcement preparation]

Stewardship Commission
Purpose: Maintain all church facilities, equipment, and property to provide an environment for all persons to be comfortable and able to worship and serve the Lord Jesus Christ through different opportunities.

Roles:
- Building maintenance and upkeep
- Grounds maintenance and upkeep
- Van maintenance and upkeep
- Planning and coordinating building projects

Service/Volunteer Opportunities:
- Weed whipping (May-Oct)
- Painting
- Repair playground equipment
- Preventative maintenance coordinator
