TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST AND MAKE HIM KNOWN PERSONALLY, LOCALLY, AND GLOBALLY; assisting in the development of strong family units by ministering to the diverse needs of individuals within the surrounding community.
We offer a time of Family Worship starting at 8:45 and going until 9:10am. Our Sunday School times goes from 9:15am to 10:20am. Our Friend's Worship Service, a blend of Contemporary and Traditional styles, starts at 10:30am. We also have Sunday Evening services which start at 6:00pm. Let's not forget about Wednesday Evenings at 7:00pm for our Family Night with Adult Bible Study, Adult Choir Practice and Kids Bible Club.
INTRODUCTION:
As we reflect back on the people and events in the Ypsilanti Friends Church for the past 170 years, we are in awe of God's sustaining hand upon us. Amid the constant flow of relationships that have come and gone, there have been familiar faces of stability and unswerving dedication. As strong anchors in an ever-changing current, they have given encouragement and strength through sometimes deep and troubled waters. With equal awe and joy comes the fresh flow of new families that bring excitement and vitality to the life of our church. Like a quiet pond nestled amid the rushing streams, our church serves as an oasis of hope in a dynamic and ever-changing community. God's challenge to us, is to continue to find ways to expand our boundaries so that we may include an even greater number of families searching for a calm harbor in the storms of life.
We present this website to give you a glimpse of the great things that the Lord is doing in our church. You will find a calender of upcoming events; a brief history of this church and the Evangelical Friends faith; an introduction to the various ministries within the church; and you will be introduced to our wonderful Pastors who serve so dilligently, and to the members of the Administrative Council and staff.
We are located in the heart of the Lincoln School district, in the midst of a rapidly growing community. Our hope is that God will continue to use us to reach out to our neighbors and show everyone the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
